ABC News reports:
The Category 1 storm has maximum sustained winds early Friday near 90 mph (150 kph) with additional strengthening forecast during the next two days. Forecasters with the National Hurricane Center say Guillermo could become a major hurricane this weekend.
Friday, Richard Pasch, a senior hurricane specialist at the center, told ABC’s Guillermo is headed in Hawaii’s general direction but it’s too early to tell if there will be any danger to land.
